Dr. Barry Concool, Panhandle Laser Vision InstituteBorn and raised in New York and a refractive surgery specialist since 1983, Dr. Concool earned his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he later achieved the rank of Chief Resident and one of only two in the country to be selected for the prestigious American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery Fellowship. Among the first to be certified to perform LASIK on the VISX Star S4, LADARVision® and Allegretto Wave® excimer lasers, he is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and recognized as one of the nation’s most experienced LASIK surgeons by both Alcon and Abbott Medical Optics.

A meticulous expert in Bladeless LASIK surgery and one of the first IntraLase proctors in the state of Florida, Dr. Concool is keenly involved in guiding fellow surgeons on the latest LASIK techniques and offering his expertise on complex cases, as well as being a proud member of local, state and national humanitarian societies.

An early riser and philosophy buff, Dr. Concool’s biggest loves are his wife, Nancy, and three wonderful children, Micaela, Shira and Avi.
